about small graces

Once a month a small, unpublished, original painting will be auctioned off through eBay with 100% of the proceeds to benefit the Foundation of Children's Books.

The original 12 small paintings (roughly 5x5 inches) done by me, Grace Lin, in 2009 were illustrated small bits of wisdom (inspired by the collecting I've been doing for on my personal blog for Fortune Cookie Fridays)--hence the project's name "small graces."

In 2010, another 12 original paintings will be auctioned off--each painting done by a different artist, each donating their own small grace.

Paintings includes a certificate of authenticity, signed and dated by the artist. 100% of the sale proceeds of the original artwork will go to the the Foundation of Children's Books, a small non-profit organization in Boston that is making a big difference in the lives of young readers by bringing children's book authors and illustrators into under-served schools in Boston for visits and residencies. This is just my small way to give back to schools and the community, and it can be yours too! Please spread the word and bid!
